韓国で滞在制作をする機会をいただいた。作品のテーマを考える段階で、何か日本と韓国の共通するものがないかと考え始めた。

最終的には韓国のいくつかの家庭で、「子どもが好きなご飯」、つまりお袋の味の取材をすることになった。赤ん坊の形をした器をつくって、そこに盛り付けてもらった。

ご馳走になりながら、お子さんの話を聞いた。

I had the opportunity to stay in an artist in residence in Korea. While thinking about the theme of the work, I wondered if there was something that Japan and Korea had in common.

So I decided to interview several Korean families about their children's favorite meal, in other words, "the taste of mom's home cooking. I made a baby-shaped ceramic bowl and asked these mothers to serve the food in it.

While I enjoyed the neighbormom's meal, I listened to their children's stories.
