小豆島の三都半島に点在する小さな集落。そこに暮らす人々の営みをインタビューによって集めていった。彼らの語りはひとつの家族のように繋がっていく。

それと同時期に、小豆島の地質について学ぶ機会を得た。この三都半島には、地下のマントルから流れ出たマグマが固まってできた岩肌を見せている稀有な場所がある。集落で納屋に眠る使わなくなった乳母車を譲り受け、そこに岩肌から落ちた石を載せた。土地について考察した、レジデンス成果作品。

Small villages are scattered across the Mito Peninsula of Shodoshima Island. Through interviews, I collected the stories of the people who live there. Their narratives are connected as if they were one family.

At the same time, I had the opportunity to learn about the geology of Shodoshima. On the Mito Peninsula, there is a rare place where magma that flowed from the earth's mantle underground solidified into a rock surface. I took a disused baby carriage that was lying in a barn in the village and placed stones that had fallen from the rock face on it. This work is the result of an artist in residence where I was thinking about the land.
