藤沢市アートスペースで滞在制作をした。神奈川県にある藤沢市は、私が成人するまで過ごした土地なので知っていることの方が多い。それでも滞在中に知らなかったことや再発見することが多かった。

幼少期に夏祭りなどで訪れた公民館のことをふと思った。公民館という空間を昔から不思議に思っていた。それは外形的にもそうである。「天狗の爪を信じる」（2017）で出会った不思議な化石館の経験も、そのことを思い出すきっかけになっていると思う。次第に公民館に集う人たちに会ってみたくなった。できれば話をしてみたかった。

アートスペースの学芸員の方に無理なお願いをして、藤沢市にある全ての公民館を巡り、撮影を敢行した。不思議な形の公民館で、社交的な地域の方々に「宇宙」について聞いてみた。

Participated in a residency at Fujisawa City Art Space. Fujisawa City in Kanagawa Prefecture is a place where I spent most of my time until I was about 20, so I was familiar with the city. Still, during my residency, I rediscovered a lot of things I didn't know before.

I started thinking about the community center that I used to visit during summer festivals and other events when I was a child. For a long time, I have always been curious about the space called "community center," not only its concept but also its appearance. The experience of the mysterious fossil museum I encountered in "I Believe in the Claws of the Tengu" (2017) may also have triggered my memory. The next step was to meet the people who gather in the community center. I wanted to talk to them.

With the great help of the curator of Art Space, I was able to visit and film all the community centers in Fujisawa City. In the mysteriously shaped community centers, I interviewed friendly citizens about "Space/Universe".
